Scholarship Selection Task Force
The WHLA Scholarship Selection Task Force (TF) is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and selecting recipients for the 2026 WHLA Educational Scholarships. The TF ensures applicants meet eligibility requirements, reviews applications, and recommends recipients to the WHLA Executive Committee (EC) for final approval.

Event Overview

The GMHLA Volleyball Tournament is a high-energy tradition that brings together hospitality professionals and industry partners for a day of friendly competition, networking, and community spirit.

This year marks our 29th anniversary, and we’re excited to welcome teams back to the sand for an unforgettable event filled with great play, great people, and great energy.

Team Check-in: 12:30 PM

Games Begin: 1:00 PM

Finals and Awards: 4:00 PM

Event Ends: 4:30 PM

Event Details & Rules

Team Size
• Each team registration includes up to 8 players
• Minimum of 5 players required
• Teams with more than 8 participants may purchase additional player passes

Co-ed rule
• At least two female players must be on the court at all times

Game Play
• Each team is guaranteed a minimum of two matches

Waivers & Rules
• All players must sign a waiver on-site (no advance roster required)
• All players and fans must follow the 2026 GMHLA Volleyball Rules

Welcome Kits
• Team captains will receive a welcome kit at check-in
• Includes player wristbands for complimentary food and sponsored beverages
• A volleyball for your team
• Cheering supplies to keep the energy high all day long

Awards + Prizes

• Team trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
• Hourly door prize drawings starting at 1:00 PM—everyone has a chance to win
