Scholarship Selection Task Force
The WHLA Scholarship Selection Task Force (TF) is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and selecting recipients for the 2026 WHLA Educational Scholarships. The TF ensures applicants meet eligibility requirements, reviews applications, and recommends recipients to the WHLA Executive Committee (EC) for final approval.

WHLA is hitting the road in 2026! Our Quarterly Lodging Innsights series brings education, networking, and industry insights directly to you—at WHLA member properties throughout the state.

Each event begins with a Wisconsin Women in Lodging luncheon, followed by educational sessions tailored to the needs of lodging owners and operators, highlighting trends and best practices both locally and statewide.

A GMHLA Team Tradition Returns!

The 29th Anniversary GMHLA Volleyball Tournament is back in 2026—and it’s all about teams, connection, and fun! Come for the volleyball, stay for the laughs, networking, and GMHLA camaraderie.

Enjoy an afternoon full of competition, spirited teamwork, and a festive atmosphere that brings lodging teams together like no other event. Celebrate 29 years of tradition, competition, and fun while making lasting connections with your peers!

Event Schedule

Team Check-in: 12:30 PM

Games Begin: 1:00 PM

Finals and Awards: 4:00 PM

Event Ends: 4:30 PM

Details

Team Size: Each team registration includes up to 8 players

• Minimum of 5 players required

• Teams with more than 8 participants may purchase additional player passes

Co-ed rule: At least two female players must be on the court at all times

Games: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of two matches

Waivers: All players must sign a waiver on-site (no advance roster required)

Rules: All players and fans must follow the 2026 GMHLA Volleyball Rules

Welcome Kits: Each team captain will receive a welcome kit at check-in, including player wristbands for complimentary food and sponsored beverages throughout the tournament.

Awards + Prizes

Team Awards will be presented to the Grand Champions, Second Place, and Third Place teams.

Plus, hourly door prize drawings starting at 1 PM—everyone gets a chance to win something special!

Fans Welcome!

Not playing? No problem! Fan tickets are available so coworkers and supporters can join in the fun, enjoy refreshments, and cheer on their teams from the sidelines.

Location

Root River Center in Franklin features a party pavilion that overlooks eight fully groomed sand courts. The pavilion offers bar service, and food will be available throughout the event. Carry-ins are not permitted.
